Bill Nye’s Lying Pants, Not the Planet, Are on ‘F***ing Fire’
The kid’s science show host has a very important and very scientific-sounding message for you:
“The planet’s on f***ing fire.”
In a segment about Rep.Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’sGreen New Deal, Bill Nye was apparently very pleased with himself and seemed to get carried away showing off how much more intelligent, mature, and forward-thinking he is than all of you idiots that live in central time and drive pickup trucks.
Bill Nye was cussing up a storm on Oliver’s program:
“By the end of this century, if emissions keep rising, the average temperature on Earth could go up another four to eight degrees. What I’m saying is the planet’s on f***ing fire. There are a lot of things we could do to put it out – are any of them free? No, of course not. Nothing’s free, you idiots.”
Bill Nye’s Climate Claims Just Hot Air
Bill Nye and AOC base their apocalyptic visions of global climate Armageddon ona special reportby the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). But they are flagrantly misrepresenting what the report says.
In the report, the IPCC speculates on the possible impacts of global warming of 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. AOC represents the findings of the report to suggest “the world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.”

Bill Nye says “this is an actual crisis” and “the planet’s on f***ing fire” while berating Americans to grow up and take climate change more seriously:
“Grow the f**k up. You’re not children anymore. I didn’t mind explaining photosynthesis to you when you were 12. But you’re adults now, and this is an actual crisis, got it? Safety glasses off, motherf***ers.”
AOC and Bill Nye’s Pants Are on Fire
These alarmist takes aren’t serious and aren’t helpful. They’re misleading and deceptive. They serve a partisan political purpose. They are not about making the planet a better place. Otherwise, they wouldn’t misrepresent and distort the facts.
The IPCC report does not say if temperate rises 1.5°C above the 19th-century global average that we’re all doomed and our grandchildren are going to die the way Nye and Ocasio-Cortez suggest. All it says is the study’s authors estimate there will be some loss in GDP. It does not say the world is doomed or that humanity faces an existential threat as Nye and Ocasio-Cortez have led others to believe.
Bill Nye’s Legacy
It’s a shame a children’s educator so beloved and with such a great legacy has chosen to stoop so low. Actually teaching kids about real, solid science was a far more honorable vocation for Mr. Nye than carrying the water for one of America’s corrupt political parties. As one Reddit userput it a year agoafter the debut of Nye’s new show, Bill Nye Saves The World:
“I am about halfway through Bill Nye Saves the World, and I am completely disappointed. I’ve been a huge fan of Bill “Bye” since I was 10. Bill Nye the Science Guy was entertaining and educational. Bill Nye Saves the World is neither. In this show he simply brings up an issue, tells you which side you should be on, and then makes fun of people on the other side.”
Bill Nye used to be entertaining and educational. Now he’s cynically political and shamelessly sensational. He chose to become just another yammering, talk-radio-style, political partisan spewing invective, agitating for radical consolidation of federal power over America’s homes and businesses, and spreading alarmist media narratives and partisan political propaganda.
